Brazilian are a combination of Shamo, Thai, Asil and Spanish Fowl. In Brazil they less uniform with lines that favor any of the three breeds in their genes.
Here in the states they are more uniform, mainly because they were introduced to the states by a handful of breeders. I’ve been working with this breed since 2008.
I breed my Brazilian fowl for Style/Type. Rooster with a compact body, strong legs, broad back/thigh, and long tails. Small or big comb, but small waddle. Rooster must have long neck, but not flimsy. I don’t breed for color, I get several colors: pumpkin, blue red, cream and wheaton and anything in between. I shoot for weights from 6-7 lbs for mature Roosters.
